Clarenville Events Centre
Home of the Clarenville Caribous Senior Hockey Club, the Clarenville Events Centre is a multi-use facility, which includes a 2150 capacity arena, as well as a 400+ capacity arts theatre. The Clarenville Events Centre is a stone’s throw away from the hotel, which makes The Wave the perfect location to stay when taking in a concert, show or hockey game/tournament in Clarenville.



White Hills Ski Resort
White Hills Ski Resort is located just one kilometer West of Clarenville. Nestled across 55 acres of ski and board terrain in the majestic hills of the Discovery Region, White Hills Resort has the proud distiction of being called “Eastern Newfoundland’s Winter Playground”. The resort offer a variety of downhill trails and glades that reach to over 750 vertical feet, as well as over 40 km of the best cross-country trails in Newfoundland spread from the base of the resort.

Clarenville Dragway
Whether you’re a gear-head looking for the next challenge, a horsepower junkie looking to “feel” the roar or a family looking for an exciting day of something a little different, the Clarenville Dragway is well worth a look! From the emerging sport compact class to the ground shaking, alcohol burning 170+ Mile Per Hour dragsters. From the nitrous guzzling supercharged pro street cars to the heart pounding Harleys to the slightly modified, pavement hugging snowmobiles… the Clarenville Dragway has a bit of everything.



Arts Under the Stars
Arts Under the Stars is a series of free performances that take place at Elizabeth Swan Park every Thursday evening throughout the summer (July-September). Music and theatre performances are from across the province and beyond. A great way to support the arts and have an evening of great entertainment free of charge.


New Curtain Theatre Company
The New Curtain Theatre Company is a professional theatre company located right here in Clarenville. Although there is no set schedule, the theatre company often has several productions underway throughout the year – be sure to check them out for a fantastic evening of theatre!



Hiking & Walking
There are currently 4 Hiking Trails within the town of Clarenville – Bare Mountain Trail, The Rotary Trail, The Wellness Trail and The Shoal Harbour Trail. There are also trails under development including Dog Park Trail and Shore Line Trail. All trails rate from Easy to Medium on the difficulty level, and offer some fantastic scenery from the local area.
